Comme en témoigne cette ancienne publicité ci-dessus, datant de 1951, la Croix Rouge de Belgique assumait autrefois un enracinement chrétien, utilisant même l’image du Croisé pour récolter des fonds.
Mais les temps ont bien changé et la Belgique, à l’image de la France, est soumise à la pression combinée du multiculturalisme et du laïcisme. La direction de la Croix Rouge de Belgique a donc demandé de retirer les crucifix de tous ses locaux, créant le mécontentement chez une bonne partie de ses bénévoles.
Quant à parler de neutralité religieuse, pourquoi alors continuer à utiliser le terme Croix Rouge. Pourquoi ne pas passer au point rouge, façon nez de clown. Avant de passer de la laïcité à l’allahicité et finir au Croissant Rouge… qui a bien une signification religieuse.
