Belgique – Les ministres de l’Intérieur et de la Défense travaillent sur une modification législative qui permettra aux militaires d’être temporairement affectés à certaines missions de police. 

Actuellement, la législation belge ne permet que de mettre des militaires au service de la police dans le cadre de patrouilles mixtes dont l’autorité incombe à la police, seule habilitée à contrôler la population. 

Les ministres belges travaillent actuellement à la rédaction d’un amendement stipulant quand l’armée peut être déployée dans les rues, et quelles seraient ses fonctions et pouvoirs.

Cette réforme arrive au moment où les autorités de police ont été averties de menaces islamistes demandant à leurs adeptes en Belgique de s’en prendre à la vie de policiers ou de membres de leur famille.
