Le président syrien, Bashar al Assad, ne semble pas être impressionné par les raids occidentaux sur son pays. Il se dit même plus déterminé que jamais à écraser le terrorisme dans chaque recoin de Syrie.
Ce matin, après les raids états-uniens, britanniques et français, sur le compte Telegram de la présidence syrienne a été diffusée une vidéo qui le montre allant à son travail.
« Cette attaque nous a rendu plus fort. C’est seulement une démonstration de force. Nous croyons que les Américains s’arrêteront et qu’ils ne nous attaquerons pas à nouveau »
a affirmé le président syrien. Il est notable en effet que Donald Trump doit calmer les va-t-en-guerre de Washington, les fameux néo-cons ou faucons, les sempiternels fauteurs de guerres et de chaos au Moyen-Orient depuis des décennies : cette frappe pourrait bien être un artifice destiné à les modérer.
« Les attaques occidentales contre des objectifs militaires du gouvernement de Damas rendront la Syrie et son peuple encore plus déterminés à continuer à combattre et à écraser la terrorisme dans chaque recoin du pays, centimètre par centimètre »
a déclaré Bashar al Assad avant d’ajouter que ces raids démontrent, au contraire, « l’échec » des puissances occidentales à rejoindre leur objectif en Syrie après la défaite des djihadistes.
