Le magazine « OUT » a dédié sa dernière publication à l’élection des « cent personnalités LGBT les plus influentes ». Sur la couverture du magazine, on voit la photo du président des États-Unis avec la phrase : Obama, notre allié, notre héros, notre icône ».
Ce magazine l’a élu « l’allié de l’année » pour soutenir le « mariage » égalitaire et d’autres initiatives célébrées par le mouvement de lesbiennes, gays, bisexuels et transgenres (LGBT).
En 2009, lors de son élection présidentielle, uniquement deux états américains permettaient le « mariage » homosexuel. Aujourd’hui, pendant son second mandat, cette loi est devenue nationale.
Plusieurs représentants du gouvernement pensent que ce virage dans son soutien au lobby gay est dû à une question surtout politique.
Dans cette publication spéciale sur les cent personnalités LGBT les plus influentes du moment, le magazine OUT place Barack Obama au sommet. On peut lire une série d’anecdotes sur sa vie politique et la raison de son soutien au lobby gay.
Par exemple, il a parlé du rôle qu’a joué un de ses professeurs d’université, qui était homosexuel, dans sa carrière politique. Il a également fait mention de l’importance des droits des homosexuels dans son gouvernement.
« Lorsque j’ai été élu sénateur, j’ai soutenu la loi en défense du mariage car je voulais lutter contre toute sorte d’exclusion. C’est pourquoi, dès mon arrivée à la présidence, j’ai demandé publiquement le soutien de la communauté LGBT et je lui ai promis que nous pourrions envisager un changement réel pour tous les américains », a-t-il ajouté.
Cet homme politique laissera derrière lui un pays détruit par sa politique qui va à l’encontre des bases vitales de toute société humaine.
