En voyage en Afrique du Sud, l’ancien président des Etats-Unis Barack Obama a prononcé un discours très politique au stade Wanderers de Johannesburg pour le centenaire de la naissance de Nelson Mandela.
Au cours de discours, Barack Obama a évoqué la victoire des Bleus à la Coupe du Monde de Football.
Selon Obama, cette équipe multiculturelle est l’ incarnation de la vision d’une nation arc-en-ciel défendue par Mandela. Et de déclarer sous les applaudissements des 15.000 sud-africains présents dans le stade :
« Regardez l’équipe de France qui vient de remporter la Coupe du monde »
« Tous ces mecs ne ressemblent pas, selon moi, à des Gaulois »
