Josie Cunningham, vedette britannique de la téléréalité, a suscité l’indignation sur les réseaux sociaux après avoir annoncé qu’elle avorterait afin de participer à une émission TV qui devrait la rendre riche et célèbre. Cunningham, âgée de 23 ans, dit être capable d’avorter afin que les producteurs de la chaîne 5 britannique la laissent participer au programme.
Peu de temps avant, Josie Cunningham avait obtenu que le système de santé britannique lui paye une opération d’implants mammaires, parvenant à convaincre un médecin que “son buste discret” lui causait des déséquilibres émotionnels
La jeune femme avide de gloire justifie maintenant son avortement en déclarant aux médias: “Je suis sur le point d’être célèbre et je ne pense pas y renoncer. L’avortement permettra d’avancer dans ma carrière. Aujourd’hui, je ne désire pas avoir un bébé, par contre je veux être célèbre, conduire une Range Rover et acheter une grande maison. Personne ne se mettra sur mon chemin”.
A la polémique du possible avortement, s’ajoute le fait que l’identité du père est inconnue: un joueur de Première ligue ou un de ses clients alors qu’elle travaillait comme escort girl ?
Selon Josie, elle est devenue une des favorites pour la prochaine saison de Big Brother, mais quand les producteurs ont appris sa grossesse, ils se seraient montrés plus distants ce qui a provoqué sa peur de ne plus figurer parmi les participantes. Aussi, Josie a pensé avorter et s’imposer aux producteurs.
Les téléspectateurs et usagers des réseaux sociaux ont réagi avec indignation devant la préférence de Josie pour la célébrité et la fortune au lieu de devenir mère.
