Le pape François a comparé hier, mercredi 10 octobre, l’avortement au recours à « un tueur à gages » :
“En vertu d’une approche contradictoire, on consent à supprimer la vie humaine dans le giron maternel, au nom d’autres droits. Mais comment un acte qui supprime une vie innocente et sans défense au moment où elle éclot pourrait-il être thérapeutique, civil ou simplement humain ? […] Interrompre une grossesse c’est comme éliminer quelqu’un. Est-il juste d’éliminer une vie humaine pour résoudre un problème ? C’est comme engager un tueur à gages pour résoudre un problème.”
Ces propos du pape François sur l’avortement lors de son son homélie prononcée au cours de sa traditionnelle audience place Saint-Pierre ont suscité une vive polémique dans les milieux de la bien-pensance et dans les médias mainstream qui lui sont pourtant plutôt favorables. Mais cette fois-ci le pape a dit, en termes particulièrement forts, ce que le monde moderne et hédoniste ne veut pas entendre… Que l’avortement tue des êtres humains !
