Hier soir, le PSG a aligné une équipe historique puisque pour la première fois de l’histoire de la L1, aucun Français n’était présent dans l’équipe de départ. Cela a changé quand Blaise Matuidi est rentré à la 45ème minute. C’est une des conséquences de l’arrêt Bosman. La décision de la Cour de justice des Communautés européennes en 1995, dans le litige opposant le joueur belge Jean-Marc Bosman à son club de Liège, de demander la suppression des quotas liés à la nationalité, va ouvrir un peu plus l’ère du business dans le foot. On limitait à 3 le nombre de joueurs étrangers ressortissants de l’Union européenne dans une équipe de club. L’UEFA se plie à la jurisprudence communautaire et abolit les quotas de joueurs à partir de la saison 1996-1997. Cela va entraîner un grand bouleversement dans les grands clubs qui peuvent désormais recruter sans restriction des joueurs étrangers. Les clubs anglais, comme Chelsea ou Arsenal, seront les premiers à aligner des équipes sans joueurs anglais. Ce n’était jamais arrivé en France.
