Canada – L’inversion des normes est telle que l’Etat préfère désormais confier des enfants à des homosexuels qu’à des familles chrétiennes.
Lors d’une enquête sociale, un couple désireux d’adopter un enfant avait répondu sincèrement à une question sur la foi : oui, le couple croyait à toute la Bible. Puis la travailleuse sociale les questionnant avait fait incidemment remarquer au couple que son fils à elle était « gay », ce à quoi le couple a répondu que le comportement homosexuel était un péché, mais qu’ils s’occuperaient néanmoins avec bienveillance de tout enfant dont ils auraient la charge. C’en était trop. Ce couple n’a pas été retenu apte à adopter un enfant.
Le Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) vient de saisir de l’affaire et a envoyé une lettre de mise en demeure au Simcoe Muskoka Child, Youth and Family Services lui enjoignant d’annuler sa décision de rejeter la demande d’adoption de cette famille.
Tout avait commencé en novembre 2017, lorsque ce couple s’était proposé pour adopter. L’homme et son épouse avaient commencé la formation requise en janvier 2018 et l’ont terminée en mars. Une fois la formation terminée, une travailleuse sociale des Services à l’enfance a questionné le couple. La travailleuse sociale leur a posé des questions au sujet de leurs croyances religieuses, y compris s’ils « croyaient toujours en certaines des parties les plus dépassées de la Bible » ? Ils ont répondu oui. La travailleuse sociale a ensuite déclaré que son fils est homosexuel et qu’il lui avait été dit dans le passé que l’homosexualité était un péché. Le couple n’a eu aucune nouvelle des Services à l’enfance pendant les six mois suivants. Puis, le 24 octobre 2018, ils ont reçu une lettre des Services à l’enfance les informant de leur décision de rejeter leur proposition comme famille adoptive.
