Al-Qaïda au Maghreb Islamique (AQMI) a revendiqué le double attentat perpétré au Mali contre les casques bleus de la Minusma.
Le camp de la Minusma à Gao a été la cible d’une attaque à la voiture piégée mardi soir, au cours de laquelle un casque bleu chinois a trouvé la mort tandis qu’une douzaine d’autres ont été blessés.
Ensuite, dans un autre quartier de la ville, des djihadistes ont pris d’assaut le bâtiment d’un prestataire de service de l’UNMAS (service de déminage de l’ONU). Au cours de cette attaque, des agents de sécurité maliens et un employé français ont été tués.
Par ailleurs, en Somalie, les shebab ont revendiqué l’attentat contre un hôtel de Mogadiscio.
Mercredi vers 17h30 (heure locale), l’hôtel Ambassador a été la cible d’un attentat à la voiture piégée. Après l’explosion, des djihadistes ont fait feu dans l’hôtel qui accueillait plusieurs parlementaires. Le nombre de victimes n’est toujours pas officiellement précisé.
