Ce lundi 18 mars 2019, vers 10h45, une fusillade a eu lieu à l’intérieur d’un tramway d’Utrecht, ville située dans le centre des Pays-Bas, dans le quartier de la place du 24 Octobre.
D’autres coups de feu ont été entendus ailleurs dans la commune. L’hypothèse d’un attentat terroriste impliquant plusieurs personnes n’est pas écartée.
Plusieurs personnes ont été blessées. « À ce stade, nous pouvons confirmer trois morts et neuf blessés, dont trois grièvement », a déclaré ce lundi après-midi le maire d’Utrecht, Jan van Zanen, dans une vidéo publiée sur Twitter. Les services de secours sont sur zone, assistés de plusieurs hélicoptères.
Le tireur du tramway est activement recherché, il aurait pris la fuite à bord d’une voiture. Il a été identifié comme Tanis Gökmen, âgé de 37 ans et né en Turquie. D’après les médias néerlandais, l’homme aurait été entendu au tribunal il y a deux semaines pour une affaire de viol.
Cependant la police n’exclut pas « qu’il y ait plusieurs tireurs ». Elle a par ailleurs diffusé un tweet avec la photo du principal suspect de la fusillade de ce matin :
« La police vous demande de surveiller Gökman Tanis (né en Turquie), âgé de 37 ans, en lien avec l’incident survenu ce matin au #24oktoberplein à Utrecht. Ne vous en approchez pas vous-même, mais appelez immédiatement le numéro de suivi 0800-6070. »
De politie vraagt u uit te kijken naar de 37-jarige Gökman Tanis (geboren in Turkije) in verband met het incident vanmorgen aan het #24oktoberplein in Utrecht.

Le gouvernement néerlandais a renforcé la sécurité de plusieurs sites sensibles des Pays-Bas : aéroports, gares, mais aussi lieux de culte. Les autorités néerlandaises ont relevé à son plus haut niveau la menace terroriste dans la région.
L’islam a encore frappé en Europe… Le « vivre-ensemble » est toujours plus une illusion…
