Nigeria – Un kamikaze vêtu comme un étudiant s’est infiltré ce matin dans une école secondaire dans le nord du Nigeria et a fait exploser une bombe, tuant près de 50 étudiants et enseignants, selon les premiers rapports. 79 étudiants ont également été signalés blessés et transportés vers un hôpital voisin, qui est devenu tellement surpeuplé que les blessés ont été placés à deux par lit.
Bien qu’il n’y ait aucune revendication, le groupe islamiste Boko Haram, qui a mené des attaques similaires dans cette partie du Nigeria, est suspecté d’être à l’origine de ce nouvel attentat.
Les forces gouvernementales se sont précipitées à l’école, dans la ville de Potiskum dans l’Etat de Yobe, mais des habitants en colère les ont d’abord accueillis en leur lançant des pierres. La colère de la population est d’autant plus grande que rien ne vient freiner cette vague d’attentats meurtriers commis par les islamistes. Une bombe a tué près de 30 personnes dans la même ville la semaine dernière.
Beaucoup de Nigérians sont outrés par l’apparente incapacité de l’armée à lutter contre Boko Haram.
