Mise à jour – 19h15 – Une attaque terroriste a causé au moins quatre morts et 20 blessés mercredi à Londres. Un homme a lancé sa voiture sur la foule devant le Parlement avant de poignarder mortellement un policier et d’être abattu par la police. Le policier est décédé.
Selon plusieurs témoins, le terroriste a d’abord renversé plusieurs piétons sur le pont de Westminster menant au Parlement et à Big Ben. Après avoir embouti son véhicule sur le bas-côté de la rue, l’homme a couru vers les grilles du Parlement et a poignardé un policier. La police a fait feu sur lui alors qu’il essayait de s’attaquer à un deuxième policier.
Trois élèves français d’un lycée de Concarneau (Finistère) font partie des blessés.
15h50 – Londres – Des tirs et des explosions sont signalées près de la Chambre des communes qui a suspendu sa séance. Selon un journaliste de Reuters, il y aura de nombreux blessés. Une ambulance aérienne a ensuite atterri à Parliament Square.
Selon un porte-parole de la police : «La police a été appelée à 14h40 pour signaler un incident sur le pont Westminster. Traité comme un incident avec armes à feu. Les agents sont sur les lieux et s’en occupent. »
