La capitale Burkinabé a été frappée par un attentat terroriste ce week-end ayant causé la mort de près de 30 personnes dont deux Français originaires de l’Oise, et trois djihadistes tués par les forces spéciales françaises .
Un commando djihadiste a attaqué vendredi autour de 19h45 un hôtel et un restaurant fréquentés par des expatriés. On note par ailleurs une trentaine de blessés.
Des détonations qui ont éclatées dans le secteur ont provoqué la panique des paisibles citoyens ouagalais.
Selon des témoins sur place ces coups de feu étaient tirés par des hommes enturbannés. Le ministre burkinabè des Affaires étrangères a ensuite indiqué que des tireurs s’étaient retranchés à l’intérieur de l’hôtel où ils retenaient un nombre inconnu d’otages.
Ces attaques ont été revendiquées par le groupe djihadiste Aqmi, qui l’a attribuée au groupe islamiste al-Mourabitoune du chef djihadiste Mokhtar Belmokhtar, selon SITE, une organisation américaine qui surveille les sites internet islamistes.
Notons que l’assaut des forces spéciales française était lancé samedi tôt le matin et a permis de libérer 126 personnes dont 33 blessés parmi lesquels le ministre burkinabé du travail, Clémence Sawadogo
Suite à cela, le tout nouveau président Burkinabé Roch Marc Bertrand Kaboré a décrété un deuil national de trois jours.
