David Silverman , président de l’association American Atheists a annoncé au cours d’une conférence à l’Université de Stanford le lancement d’une nouvelle chaîne de télévision qui se nomme Atheist TV. «Pourquoi nous lançons-nous dans la télévision ? Cela fait partie de notre stratégie pour atteindre ceux que nous ne voyons pas » , a déclaré Silverman.

Le lancement d’Atheist TV est prévu en juillet. L’annonce prévoit des programmes sept jours sur sept, 24 heures sur 24 et la formule sera gratuite.
