La jeune femme chrétienne, accusée de blasphème envers le prophète du Coran, acquitté après 9 ans de prison et une pendaison à venir, est enfin sortie de sa geôle.
La nouvelle de sa libération a été connue hier du Pakistan. Mais l’incertitude quand au futur de Asia Bibi demeure, ainsi que l’insécurité, tout particulièrement parce qu’on peut craindre pour sa vie dans un pays imprévisible où l’islam se vit de manière passionnelle et enflammée. La sortie de prison peut signifier pour cette chrétienne haïe par les islamistes pakistanais qui la veulent pendue cette mort à laquelle elle a finalement échappé.
« Libre, elle est libre parce que le ministère de l’information l’a annoncé… mais maintenant ce sont des moments critiques, entre son transfert de la prison de Multan jusqu’à un lieu où sa sécurité peut être garantie » confirme au quotidien italien Il Giornale Paul Batthi, frère et successeur de Shahbaz Bhatti, le ministre des minorités religieuses tué en 2011 à cause de sa défense d’Asia Bibi.
Paul Batthi ne croit pas que l’accord passé, pour calmer les islamistes furieux de l’acquittement, entre l’État et le parti fondamentaliste islamiste soit légal :
« Il s’agit d’un faux-semblant judiciaire. Le gouvernement a signé cette sentence pour consentir aux chefs fondamentalistes de sauver la face après les mobilisations de ces derniers jours. Mais du moment que la cour suprême a garanti l’acquittement aucun accord peut empêcher la libération d’Asia Bibi et son droit à partir à l’étranger. C’est pourquoi nous sommes confiants. Si nous réussissons à garantir un cordon de sécurité et à la transférer dans un lieu sûr, le plus sera fait. »
Le président du Parlement européen Antonio Tajani a fait une annonce qui va dans ce sens :
« Elle est en sécurité. Nous l’attendons ici. »
Confirmation en a été donnée également par Saif Ul-Mulook l’avocat de la jeune femme chrétienne :
« Elle a été relâchée et déjà mise dans un avion même si personne ne sait où elle atterrira. »
