Arnon Milchan (ici en photo avec les acteurs Angelina Jolie et Brad Pitt) est un homme d’affaires israélien connu pour avoir été producteur des films à succès « Pretty Woman », « Fight Club » et «Mr & Mrs Smith ».
Dans une interview accordée à l’émission d’enquête israélienne Uvda, M. Milchan a détaillé une série d’affaires clandestines dignes de l’un de ses films à succès, comme la manière avec laquelle il a favorisé les achats de technologies dont Israël avait besoin pour faire fonctionner des bombes nucléaires. « Je l’ai fait pour mon pays et j’en suis fier », a déclaré M. Milchan, qui a dirigé une importante usine d’engrais en Israël avant de partir pour Hollywood.
Même si sa carrière dans le cinéma a prospéré, il a conservé des liens étroits avec les dirigeants israéliens. M. Milchan a également affirmé que d’autres grands noms d’Hollywood avaient eu des activités d’agent secret.
Arnon Milchan (68 ans) a fondé la société de production New Regency et a produit plus de 120 films depuis les années ‘70, en collaboration avec des réalisateurs comme Martin Scorsese, Roman Polanski, Sergio Leone et Oliver Stone. Il a tissé des liens particulièrement étroits avec l’acteur Robert De Niro, qui est intervenu dans cette émission de télévision, ainsi que les acteurs Russell Crowe et Ben Affleck. « J’en avais entendu parler, mais je n’en étais pas sûr », a déclaré Robert De Niro au sujet des activités de M. Milchan. « Je le lui ai demandé une fois et il m’a dit qu’il était Israélien et que bien sûr il ferait ces choses pour son pays ».
