C’est le mercredi 11 janvier que les librairies mettront en vente L’abdication, le livre d’Aquilino Morelle édité chez Grasset. La date est bien choisie : pile la veille du premier débat télévisé de la primaire de la gauche.
Aquilino Morelle ? Souvenez-vous ! Cet homme était conseiller politique de François Hollande. Il est l’auteur du fameux discours de 2012 au Bourget dans lequel François Hollande affirmait que le monde de la finance était son « principal adversaire ».
Mais Aquilino Morelle est surtout devenu célèbre pour avoir l’habitude de faire cirer ses chaussures de luxe à l’Elysée, un style de vie de nabab, version gauche caviar. L’affaire avait été très médiatisée et finalement, en avril 2014, François Hollande avait décidé de se passer de ses services.
« Ce que je regrette surtout, c’est que le président, que j’ai toujours servi loyalement, se soit abaissé à utiliser cette faute pour se débarrasser de moi. Que pendant un an, il m’ait menti, trahi méthodiquement, me souriant dans le même temps où il organisait mon éviction. », avait déclaré Aquilino Morelle au journal Le Monde.
La vengeance étant un plat qui se mange froid, c’est en janvier 2017, moment clé de l’élection présidentielle, qu’Aquilino Morelle sort un livre qui pourrait bien discréditer le parti socialiste pour un bon bout de temps. Manuel Valls ne devrait pas être épargné. Ce qui ferait l’affaire d’Arnaud Montebourg, vieil ami de Morelle.
