Face à la pression de l’aile la plus à droite de sa coalition gouvernementale qui menaçait de claquer la porte, la chancelière allemande Angela Merkel aurait accepté lundi soir de clore définitivement sa politique migratoire généreuse de 2015-2016, lorsque son pays avait accueilli 1,2 million de demandeurs d’asile.
Le compromis trouvé après des semaines de conflit, menaçant l’avenir politique d’Angela Merkel, ne prévoit pas de remigration vers le pays d’origine mais de renvoyer les demandeurs d’asile déjà enregistrés ailleurs dans l’UE vers le pays d’entrée et à défaut de les refouler vers… l’Autriche voisine, gouvernée par une coalition hostile à l’immigration.
« A aucun moment nous n’avons été consultés« , s’est agacée au Luxembourg la chef de la diplomatie autrichienne, Karin Kneissl, selon des propos rapportés par la presse autrichienne.
Par communiqué, le gouvernement autrichien s’est dit « prêt à prendre des mesures pour protéger » ses « frontières sud en particulier« , avec l’Italie et la Slovénie, pour faire la même chose que l’Allemagne.
Les concessions octroyées par Angela Merkel sous la pression de sa droite dure pourraient bien remettre en cause les grands principes du tout récent sommet de l’UE sur les migrants: promesse de privilégier des solutions européennes face aux tentations nationales et aide à l’Italie..
