Allemagne – Le Bulletin paroissial de Werl signale le témoignage d’un prêtre pris à partie et insulté par un musulman dans un supermarché en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie un jour d’octobre 2017 :
« Samedi en début d’après-midi, je prends place pour payer à la caisse du Lidl de Werl. Je portais mes habituels vêtements de prêtre de tous les jours, j’étais donc reconnaissable en tant que prêtre. Le supermarché était pas mal rempli et, si j’ai bien vu, toutes les caisses étaient ouvertes. Il y avait encore trois clients devant moi et encore un autre derrière moi.
Juste devant moi se trouvait une dame, sans doute d’origine étrangère, vêtue d’un long manteau marron et d’un foulard marron foncé. Elle était en train de poser ses emplettes sur le tapis de caisse. Soudain, celui qui était à l’évidence le mari de cette femme l’a rejointe. Lorsqu’il m’a vu, il a commencé à m’injurier dans sa langue maternelle. Il ne faisait aucun doute qu’il s’agissait bien d’injures. Je n’ai pas réagi, d’aucune manière. Mais l’homme en question a alors saisi mon chariot et s’est mis à le secouer et à le pousser en tous sens tout en continuant à m’injurier. Là-dessus, je me suis senti obligé de réagir et ai dit à ce monsieur sur le ton normal de la politesse qu’il pouvait tranquillement me parler en langue allemande, langue que je comprenais fort bien. Il a aussitôt changé de langue et m’a injurié en ces termes : « Espèce de mécréant ! », « Espèce de porc ! » Sans rien dire, j’ai aussitôt composé sur mon portable le numéro de la police qui s’est déclarée incompétente. Aucune des personnes qui nous entouraient n’a dit quoi que ce soit. »
