Alexandre Simonnot s’est vu retiré le 4 mai dernier sa fonction de secrétaire départemental du Val d’Oise par la direction du FN. Cela se passait le même jour que l’annonce que Jean-Marie Le Pen était suspendu de son titre de président d’honneur du parti dont il est le fondateur. Alexandre Simonnot s’en est expliqué auprès de l’hebdomadaire Rivarol. En voici quelques extraits significatifs :
« On me punit pour deux choses. D’une part pour ma proximité avec Jean-Marie Le Pen, mon amitié réelle et profonde pour le Président-fondateur du Front National. Et d’autre part pour le fait que je suis un catholique de tradition convaincu, ce qui est très mal vu par l’actuelle direction du Front national, dans un mouvement où le vice-président et l’immense majorité des salariés du Carré (siège du FN à Nanterre) sont des homosexuels notoires. Le fait que j’ai déchiré un préservatif géant à Taverny, ville où je suis conseiller municipal FN, est évidemment considéré par ces invertis comme un acte homophobe. Par ailleurs, je rends régulièrement hommage à Louis XVI, à Marie-Antoinette, à Mgr Lefebvre; je ne suis donc pas du tout dans la même ligne que ces gens-là, c’est certain. Je suis un vrai patriote, un authentique nationaliste, un militant sincère de la cause nationale et cela ne peut pas plaire à cette petite mafia ainsi que l’a appelée avec justesse Jean-Marie Le Pen. »
« Ce n’est pas un conflit personnel ou familial, c’est un conflit politique entre la ligne Jean-Marie Le Pen et la ligne Philippot. Les dirigeants actuels du FN rêvent de devenir ministres dans un gouvernement UMP, à l’instar de ce que fit Gianfranco Fini en Italie. »
