Plus de 300 soldats libyens présents en Grande-Bretagne pour y suivre une formation militaire doivent cesser leurs entraînements et quitter prématurément le pays. Motif de ce renvoi ? Le communiqué du ministère de la Défense à Londres stipule que «les problèmes de discipline » causés par les troupes libyennes sur le sol britannique ont justifié cette décision des autorités de Grande-Bretagne, en accord avec le gouvernement libyen.
Trois soldats libyens ont été entendus aujourd’hui par des juges britanniques. Deux d’entre eux sont accusés d’agression sexuelle. Le troisième est accusé de trois actes d’agression et n’a pas encore annoncé s’il plaide coupable.
Deux autres militaires libyens devaient encore comparaître aujourd’hui dans le cadre d’une affaire de viol.
La formation des recrues libyennes par des instructeurs britanniques devait durer jusqu’à la fin de ce mois.
