Québec – Le maire de Montréal, Denis Coderre, a demandé au gouvernement canadien de faire pression sur l’Arabie Saoudite pour obtenir la libération de Raïf Badawi, condamné à 1.000 coups de fouet pour avoir tenu un blog critique à l’égard du régime saoudien. Hier après-midi, les élus de Montréal recevaient l’épouse de Raïf Badawi.
La semaine dernière, le maire de Montréal faisait également l’actualité en déclarant que la communauté juive n’a pas besoin de l’aide de la Ligue de Défense Juive, ajoutant que la «LDJ n’est pas la bienvenue» à Montréal.
La LDJ, organisation sioniste connue pour ses méthodes violentes, avait organisé une réunion d’information dans un hôtel de Côte-des-Neiges dans l’espoir de s’implanter localement.
