Un individu a été condamné par un tribunal polonais pour avoir, en mars dernier, uriner sur le mémorial de l’ancien camp d’Auschwitz-Birkenau. Surprise : l’individu condamné est un jeune… Israélien.
« Le tribunal a reconnu l’accusé coupable de la profanation d’un lieu de mémoire et l’a condamné à 5 000 zlotys (1 160 euros) » d’amende, a déclaré à l’AFP Daria Pichorz, une porte-parole du tribunal d’Oswiecim (nom polonais d’Auschwitz), dans le sud du pays.
Plusieurs personnes, dont une guide du musée d’Auschwitz-Birkenau, ont été témoins de son acte. Il a été arrêté le même jour par la police. Après avoir été interrogé, il a été relâché et est retourné en Israël.
Lors de l’enquête, il a lui même formulé le souhait de se soumettre à une amende de 5 000 zlotys.
