L’Elysée devrait bientôt « corriger » la plaque gravée en hommage aux soldats musulmans mort pour la France.
Dévoilée par François Hollande le 18 février dernier à la Grande Mosquée de Paris, cette plaque ne faisait référence qu’aux soldats maghrébins.
Un « ajout » mentionnant « le régiment des tirailleurs sénégalais » (nom générique des troupes coloniales d’Afrique subsaharienne qui se sont illustrées au combat durant les deux guerres mondiales) devrait être apposé très prochainement.
Le tirailleur sénégalais était un soldat rendu très populaire en France métropolitaine grâce à la publicité Y a bon Banania qui fut ensuite censurée à la demande d’esprits étriqués pour qui toute naïveté débonnaire (cette publicité s’adressait aux enfants) devient suspecte de racisme.
