Selon le World Happiness Report 2017, c’est la Norvège qui serait le pays le plus heureux du monde avec un indice de 7537. La République Centrafricaine, actuellement ravagée par une guerre civile, serait le pays le plus malheureux avec un indice de 2693.
Les 10 pays où le bonheur s’est le plus développé en 10 ans sont, dans l’ordre, le Nicaragua, la Lettonie, la Sierra Leone, l’Equateur, la Moldavie, la Bulgarie, la Russie, la Slovaquie, le Chili et l’Ouzbékistan.
Les 10 pays où le bonheur a le plus régressé sont, en ordre décroissant, le Venezuela, la République Centrafricaine, la Grèce, le Botswana, l’Ukraine, la Jamaïque, le Yémen, l’Inde, l’Arabie Saoudite et la Tanzanie. La France fait partie des pays où le bonheur à reculé.
