C’est passé inaperçu et pourtant c’est un fait significatif. Le 19 juin 2017, le premier vice-président de la Commission européenne Frans Timmermans a reçu , comme il l’avait déjà fait le 30 juin 2016, des représentants des différentes obédiences maçonniques.
Les participants invités par la Commission Européenne étaient cette année :
– Marie-Thérèse BESSON, présidente de l’institut maçonnique européen, Grande Maîtresse de la Grande Loge Féminine de France
– Martine CERF, secrétaire générale d’Égalité Laïcité Europe (EGALE)
– Claudette CLAVEL, Grand Maître adjoint de l’Ordre maçonnique mixte international «le Droit Humain»
– Andrezj DOMINICZAK, président de l’Association humaniste polonaise
– Giulio ERCOLESSI, président de la Fédération humaniste européenne
– Philippe FOUSSIER, Premier Grand Maître Adjoint du Grand Orient de France
– Manuel LÓPEZ ALVÁREZ, président de la fédération espagnole de l’Ordre maçonnique mixte international «le Droit Humain»
– Lone Ree MILKAER, présidente de la Société humaniste danoise
– Keith PORTEOUS WOOD, directeur exécutif de la National Secular Society
– Jean-Michel REYNAUD, président de la Contribution des obédiences maçonniques adogmatiques et libérales à la construction européenne (COMALACE)
– Claude WACHTELAER, président de l’Association européenne de la pensée libre (AEPL)
– Oscar de WANDEL, Grand Maître de la Grande Loge de Belgique
– Frieder Otto WOLF, président du Humanistischer Verband Deutschlands (HVD)
Cette réunion annuelle avait pour thème «L’avenir de l’Europe : une Union effective et fondée sur des valeurs». Des valeurs maçonniques semble confirmer cette réunion.
La liste des invités francs-maçons change d’année en année. L’an dernier, il y avait Marc Menschaert, Grand Maître du Grand Orient de Belgique, venu représenter l’Alliance Maçonnique Européenne.
