Le dimanche 9 février, il y avait salle Wagram, dans le 17e arrondissement de Paris, un gala un peu particulier. Sous le patronage du ministère israélien de la Défense, en présence de l’Ambassadeur d’Israël et du Général Kahalani de l’armée israélienne, l’association Migdal organisait ce « grand dîner spectacle » en vue de récolter des fonds pour les Magav, les gardes frontières de l’armée israélienne. C’est d’ailleurs dans cette unité qu’a servi Arno Klarsfeld.
Ce gala apprécié du CRIF était également soutenu par la Ligue de Défense Juive (LDJ).
Auparavant, le 2 février, c’est la section française du KKL, fonds national juif, qui collectait des fonds au Palais Brogniart.
