Galvanisé par une montée en flèche dans les sondages, la droite populiste allemande AfD a présenté dimanche son premier programme en trois ans d’existence, adoptant une position nettement hostile à l’islam avec l’ambition de « gagner la majorité ».
«L’islam ne fait pas partie de l’Allemagne» et les minarets, l’appel du muezzin ainsi que le voile intégral « doivent être interdits», ont réclamé les 2.400 congressistes d’Alternative pour l’Allemagne (AfD), ce week-end à Stuttgart.
L’assistance, majoritairement masculine et d’âge moyen, a sifflé les quelques orateurs plus modérés qui appelaient à « arrêter le djihadisme pour rechercher le dialogue avec l’islam ».
«L’Islam en lui-même est politique », a dit un intervenant, tandis qu’un autre parlait de «charia, d’attentats suicides et des mariages forcés ».
Les questions identitaires et religieuses ont dominé les débats, et le parti a préconisé de protéger la «culture occidentale chrétienne» face à l’islam, élément étranger.
L’AfD espère, aux élections législatives de 2017 en Allemagne, réussir à entrer dans la moitié des parlements régionaux.
«À l’été 2015, on nous donnait pour mort, » a rappelé la co-présidente du parti, Frauke Petry, samedi à l’ouverture de la réunion: l’AfD est passé de 3% à 13% d’opinion favorable, selon un sondage publié dimanche par le journal Bild, qui la place comme la troisième force politique dans le pays.
