Belgique – Le père Germain Dochy (77 ans), un prêtre flamand de Kortemark (Flandre occidentale), est sous le feu des médias flamands.
Pour quelle raison ? Mercredi dernier, lors d’une préparation à la communion solennelle, le père Germain Dochy a parlé aux enfants de Mahomet. Mais pas en bien. « J’ai raconté aux enfants que Mahomet n’était pas un prophète. Pour l’islam peut-être, mais pas pour nous. Après tout, c’était un homme qui menait une vie très dissolue et a causé de nombreuses guerres. », a-t-il expliqué aux journalistes.
Car des parents ont évidemment protesté contre des propos « islamophobes » tenus devant leurs enfants. Selon eux, le prêtre aurait également déclaré aux enfants que « Mahomet était un voleur, un meurtrier et un violeur. Il avait 45 femmes, dont la plus jeune avait 9 ans. Et en réalité, l’islam n’est pas une religion. »
Il n’en fallait pas plus pour que les médias s’emparent de l’affaire et que le diocèse de Bruges contraigne le prêtre à présenter des excuses. Et le risque d’autres sanctions n’est pas exclu.
