Pour la première fois, la Commission européenne aura son propre char à la «Gay Pride» d’Amsterdam qui se tiendra du 23 juillet au 7 août, et qui est l’un des rassemblements les plus fréquentés du mouvement LGBT.

L’événement principal sera une balade à travers les canaux de la ville, avec des embarcations affrétées par différentes entités. En participant à ce rassemblement LGBT, la Commission européenne a l’intention d’appuyer le thème de cette année « Rejoignez notre liberté ».

Le collège des commissaires n’a pas signalé combien couteraît sa participation mais la controverse est déjà là. On estime que près de 80 bateaux participeront à cette gay-pride, l’une des plus importantes d’Europe.
