Le 13 et 14 novembre 2015, une réunion internationale sur le droit à l’avortement s’est tenue dans la ville de Santiago, capitale du Chili. La responsable de l’association en faveur de la vie, connu sous le nom de « les femmes en blanc » a dénoncé l’évènement qu’elle a qualifié d’inacceptable.
Les sujets qui ont été traités lors de cette réunion concernent plutôt l’actualité du projet de loi de l’avortement promu par la présidente Michelle Bachelet et sa progression dans le pays. On a parlé du droit à l’avortement et des droits reproductifs des femmes. Comme on pouvait s’y attendre, une association qui a soutenu cette assemblée fait partie de l’entreprise pro-avortement Planned Parenthood.
Le programme de ce congrès était clair et précis. L’objectif est d’éliminer les tabous concernant l’avortement et faire que les femmes perdent peur de se faire avorter.
La responsable de l’association pro-vie, María Vial, a déclaré que pendant cette réunion « on a parlé sur des questions théoriques et pas du tout de la question humaine. Ils n’ont pas touché un mot sur la question de la vie des enfants à naître, on n’a pas parlé de la blessure perpétrée à la femme qui se fait avorter ».
L’association « les femmes en blanc », a été critiquée par quelques politiciens qui sont en faveur du projet de loi de Michelle Bachelet. Ils ont affirmé que cette association avait érigé un mur blanc devant l’université où le congrès avait eu lieu et que les femmes n’avaient pas arrêté de vociférer contre la réunion pro-avortement.
María Vial a présenté les preuves du mensonge des politiciens car tout au long de la réunion, alors qu’elles étaient dehors devant l’université, à côté du mur blanc fait avec des photos des enfants avortés, elles n’ont pas dit un seul mot. « Nos manifestations sont toujours silencieuses car nous représentons le silence des enfants avortés », a-t-elle déclaré.
