Le Patriarche de Moscou et de toute la Russie accompagné des évêques diocésains, des higoumènes (pères-abbés des monastères), des moines des religieuses, de représentants de l’armée, et de la foule de milliers de fidèles défilent en procession le 6 Septembre 2015 dans les rues de Moscou, à partir de la cathédrale de la Dormition au Kremlin où la messe avait été célébrée jusqu’au monastère Saint-Pierre-le-Haut (Vyssoko-Petrovski). Cette procession marquait le 700ème anniversaire du premier métropolite de Russie résidant à Moscou, et du monastère qu’il a fondé. Le patriarche Pierre fut le premier métropolite de Kiev à résider à Moscou; avant 1308, les métropolites avaient leur siège à Vladimir et avant encore, à Kiev.
Le représentant du Président de la Fédération de Russie pour la région fédérale centrale, A. D. Beglov, assistait à l’office, ainsi que d’autres personnalités du monde politique. (Source)
