MEXIQUE. Voilà une scène peu habituelle et qu’on aimerait voir plus souvent. Vingt ans après son dernier titre national, le Club Lion – qui appartient à Carlos Slim – jouait il y a quelques jours au stade Azteca devant cent mille spectateurs et gagne le match.
Fraîchement promu de la deuxième division, le Club Lyon avait remonté la pente et gagné les matchs de façon surprenante. L’entraîneur, l’Uruguayen Gustavo Matosas-Argentine , après le coup de sifflet final qui assure la victoire à son équipe, étreint ses joueurs, puis prend une belle initiative. Il se met à genoux et toute son équipe de foot fait de même et tous remercient le ciel ! L’entraîneur entame une prière : «Rendons grâce à Dieu et à la Sainte Vierge. Qu’Elle nous sauve et nous protège ». Puis il se signa, et ensemble, ils ont prié le Notre Père et le Je vous salue Marie, avant de se lever et de marcher victorieusement sur la pelouse.
