Sous le nom de code « CONEX 15 », l’armée suisse a entamé mardi de grandes manœuvres militaires réunissant 5.000 soldats. L’entraînement consiste notamment à protéger les frontières.
« CONEX 15 » s’étend du 16 au 25 septembre entre Bâle, Soleure, Sursee et Wohlen. Outre l’armée, cet exercice militaire mobilise le corps des gardes-frontière à la frontière franco-suisse à Bâle et l’Inspectorat des douanes.
L’exercice prévoit notamment la sécurisation militaire du port de Muttenz, de la centrale électrique de Birsfelden et de la centrale nucléaire de Leibstadt. La présence militaire serait également visible en gare de Bâle.
Comme pour chaque manœuvre militaire, l’exercice repose sur un scénario hypothétique. Une crise économique frappe l’Europe. Un flux migratoire anormal est constaté. Des tensions ethniques sont signalées. Le Conseil fédéral fait appel à l’armée afin d’épauler les services d’urgence civils. Un scénario plus vrai que nature…
