Edward Pentin est un vaticaniste anglais. Il est notamment le correspondant à Rome de plusieurs publications (Newsweek, The Sunday Times, des Affaires étrangères, Newsmax, National Catholic Register). Il vient de publier un livre sur les tentatives de manipuler le Synode.
Edward Pentin veut décrire le mécanisme derrière les coulisses d’un synode et dévoile comment les milieux catholiques de gauche orchestrent les manipulations.
Le sous-titre de l’ouvrage est «Une enquête sur les allégations de manipulation du Synode extraordinaire sur la famille ».
L’auteur montre en détail comment le Secrétariat du Synode, présidé par le cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, a essayé de faire appliquer son propre programme progressiste avec les questions controversées de l’homosexualité, de la communion pour les divorcés et remariés, etc.
Edward Pentin a également détaillé le triste rôle de la délégation allemande au cours du Synode extraordinaire et comment ces prélats allemands ont essayé d’imposer leurs points de vue sur le mariage et la sexualité.
Un point culminant de l’arrogance allemande était la déclaration du cardinal Kasper, dans une interview, disant qu’il ne faut pas prêter attention aux Pères synodaux africains. Pentin était le journaliste qui a enregistré cette entrevue !
Le livre est (actuellement) uniquement disponible en e-book en anglais.
Le Synode d’octobre 2015 sera-t-il manipulé comme l’année dernière? Maike Hickson de Lifenews et Edward Pentin se disent pessimistes…
