C’est déjà le quatrième jour successif d’émeutes aux Pays-Bas. Des émeutes qui prennent un aspect racial et font suite à la mort d’un homme au cours d’une interpellation policière.
L’homme, dénommé Mitch Henriquez, avait menacé les policiers, déclarant qu’il était armé. Au cours de son arrestation, il serait mort par asphyxie. Or, l’homme décédé est originaire d’Aruba, île néerlandaise des Caraïbes, ce qui a rapidement entraîné une forte mobilisation de personnes de couleur, mobilisation qui a viré à l’émeute depuis plusieurs jours.
