Quatre ans après le début de la guerre en Syrie, le président Bachar Al-Assad répond pour la première fois aux questions d’une télévision française. Cette interview exclusive, a été réalisée dimanche 19 avril 2015 à Damas par David Pujadas, et a été diffusée le lundi 20 avril dans le 20 heures de France 2.

Dans cette interview Bachar el Assad accuse le pouvoir français de soutenir les terroristes sur le territoire de la Syrie. Le président syrien affirme avoir le soutien de son peuple, ce qui lui a permis de résister durant quatre ans face au terrorisme, malgré l’adversité générale. Interrogé sur les accusations d’être à l’origine de la formation de l’Etat islamique, il répond que l’EI est apparu en Irak sous contrôle américain et non en Syrie… etc.
