Le socialiste belge Philippe Moureaux, ex-ministre, accordait ce week-end un entretien au journal économique L’Echo. Un extrait de cet entretien a retenu notre attention :
« La plus grande erreur, c’est d’avoir encouragé le djihadisme au début. Dans certains milieux, on n’était pas mécontent de voir certains qui allaient faire à notre place la peau à Bachar al-Assad. Certains services spéciaux ont averti très vite les autorités que c’était dangereux. Mais on les a fait taire. Parce que l’Occident fonctionne selon l’adage « les ennemis de mes ennemis sont mes amis ». Cela a commencé avec Ben Laden. En Libye, d’où ces gens ont-ils reçu leurs armes ? En Syrie, c’est la même chose. Tout d’un coup, on s’est rendu compte que ces gens étaient dangereux. Et ceux qu’on encourageait à partir, on les a présentés comme des criminels. »
