La France n’est pas les Etats-Unis, elle n’a donc pas de service disposant des moyens colossaux de la NSA. Mais avec un matériel plus sommaire, différents services français ont néanmoins de quoi vous surveiller en toute discrétion, sans contrôle ni traçabilité.
Les naïfs qui conservent une indécrottable confiance en l’Etat nous rétorqueront que procéder à une écoute nécessite une autorisation judiciaire préalable.
Mais c’est oublier qu’il existe l’IMSI-catcher, un système très discret que nos services utilisent sans la moindre autorisation judiciaire préalable.
L’IMSI-catcher est un matériel qui tient en une valise qui contient un appareil en mesure d’imiter un relais de téléphonie mobile et d’intercepter toutes les communications sur un certain périmètre.
Or, de l’armée aux douanes, en passant par la police judiciaire et tous les services de renseignements français, chaque organe dispose de ses propres valises IMSI-catcher. Seules les options varient. La valise basique ne permet que d’identifier des numéros de téléphones. La valise plus complète permet de lire les textos, les mails et de suivre tout le trafic internet d’un ordinateur. A titre d’exemple, la DGSI possède une douzaine de valises IMSI-catcher.
