L’Eglise catholique de Bolivie renouvelle son opposition à la légalisation de l’avortement et du « mariage » homosexuel alors que l’Assemblée législative plurinationale veut modifier la loi dans ces deux domaines. L’évêque d’ Oruro, Mgr Bialasik qui préside la Fondation Vie et Famille, rappelle que l’Eglise catholique s’appuie sur la loi naturelle. « L’Eglise est claire quand elle affirme la valeur et la protection de la vie depuis la conception jusqu’à la mort naturelle. Les personnes qui promeuvent l’avortement sont en train de commettre un génocide », a déclaré l’évêque.
Le prélat a également affirmé que la pilule du lendemain et les autres médicaments contraceptifs et abortifs affectent la santé des personnes parce qu’ils influent sur le fonctionnement hormonal. Par ailleurs, Mgr Bialasik a réaffirmé que l’Eglise catholique de Bolivie rejette ce que l’on appelle l’union libre : «l’union libre ne favorise pas la famille ». Quant à l’homosexualité, il a insisté : « On ne naît pas homosexuel, on le devient ».
Des parlementaires boliviens ont annoncé la présentation de projets de loi visant à légaliser l’avortement et le « mariage » de duos de même sexe. Mais les catholiques entendent bien organiser la résistance et empêcher la promulgation de telles lois contre-nature.
