Dans une interview accordée au Figaro, le chanteur Michel Sardou explique ne plus se reconnaître dans cette France qui part en vrille. Il réagit à « l’affaire » des crèches de Noël dans les lieux publics. « Qu’est-ce que c’est que ces conneries, ça dérange qui ? » lance-t-il tout en précisant qu’il n’est pas un fervent catholique.
« On va peut-être interdire les bûches de Noël, aussi ? Au nom de la laïcité, détruisons les églises pendant qu’on y est, faisons de la cathédrale de Chartres une grande HLM. Supprimons le kippour, le ramadan. C’est n’importe quoi ! Je vais défiler tout seul de la Nation à République avec une pancarte Arrêtez tout, Arrêtons d’être cons ! »
