Argentine – Facha, un enfant âgé de 10 ans à peine, a changé de sexe au registre d’état civil argentin, sans ordonnance du tribunal, simplement sur base d’une « autorisation parentale ».
La Fédération argentine de lesbiennes, gays, bisexuels et transsexuels (FALGBT) exploite l’affaire pour faire sa promotion dans les médias. Et surtout pour diffuser plus largement son idéologie à travers toute l’Amérique latine. Du Honduras au Pérou, l’affaire fait en effet l’objet d’une grande couverture médiatique, parlant régulièrement du « premier enfant transsexuel » argentin.
Un nouveau certificat de naissance sera accordé à « Facha », nouveau prénom de l’enfant.
