Le lobby homosexuel cherche par tous les moyens à peser sur le Synode en cours. Aujourd’hui, l’association américaine Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) lance une campagne « Spirit Day » avec le soutien de différentes associations LGBT qui se prétendent catholiques tout en refusant la doctrine morale de l’Eglise catholique.
Cette campagne est essentiellement virtuelle et espère se répandre largement à travers les réseaux sociaux.
Elle prétend lutter contre les « discrimination fondées sur la religion » et réclame une église plus aimante à l’égard des homosexuels, des bisexuels et des transsexuels.
Cette campagne bénéficie du soutien de quelques prêtres déviants, comme le Père James Martin ou le Père Donal Godfrey, qui parle du suicide de son « ami gay »…
