Etats-Unis – La nouvelle a fait l’effet d’une bombe parmi les milieux catholiques américains. Le Catholics United Education Fund de Denver (Colorado) a reçu la majeure partie de son budget de fonctionnement 2012 de la part de la Gill Foundation , fondation créée le milliardaire Tim Gill, influent activiste homosexuel.

En fait, il apparaît clairement que le Catholics United Education Fund, comme d’autres organisations abusivement présentées comme catholiques, ont été créées et financées par le lobby LGBT dans le but d’influencer de l’intérieur l’Eglise catholique en tentant d’y faire entendre les revendications LGBT.

Tim Gill a fait fortune à la tête de Quark Inc, société qui commercialise des logiciels dont le QuarkXPress qui a connu un grand succès. En l’an 2000, Tim Gill avait annoncé se consacrer désormais par priorité à ses activités « philanthropiques » et activistes. Dès 1994, il avait créé la Gill Foundation qui abrite un organisme au nom plus explicite, le Gay & Lesbian Fund of Colorado. Depuis, ce milliardaire homosexuel n’a de cesse de favoriser l’avancement de militants LGBT en politique, dans l’administration et dans les écoles et universités.

Les déclarations fiscales montrent que la Gill Foundation, basée dans le Colorado, a fait en 2012 un don de 100.000 dollars au Catholics United Education Fund. Ce qui équivaut à la quasi-totalité des revenus du Catholics United Education Fund  qui s’élevaient pour cette année à 111,819 dollars.

La Gill Foundation a organisé en 2006 une coalition de grands groupes LGBT pour établir un lobby pro-gay au sein de diverses confessions chrétiennes en Amérique du Nord. Cette initiative a été appelé Mouvement Advancement Project. Le rapport annuel 2006 de la Gill Foundation déclarait que ce projet est mené pour contrer l’opposition religieuse au projet LGBT, et influencer les séminaires, le clergé et les médias. Le même rapport indique une collaboration avec la Fondation Arcus, fondation fondée par le milliardaire et militant LGBT Jon Stryker, financier notoire de groupes « chrétiens » opposés à la doctrine catholique en matière morale, comme Dignity USA,  New Ways Ministry, Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics and Ritual.

Catholics United Education Fund a été créé en 2005 et, depuis, a soutenu l’administration Obama, en particulier sur les points qui contredisent l’enseignement de l’Eglise, par exemple, en soutenant la nomination de Kathleen Sebelius comme secrétaire à la Santé; la contraception; le mariage entre personnes du même sexe, etc.
