Grande-Bretagne – Les magasins John Lewis sont notamment connus pour fournir les uniformes scolaires pour les élèves de plus de 350 écoles du pays. Pour la première fois, ils ont ajouté à leur catalogue des uniformes scolaires pour élèves musulmanes, avec notamment le hijab. Ces uniformes seront portés dans la Islamia Girls’ School, située au nord-est de Londres ainsi que dans la Belvedere Academy de Liverpool.
Les uniformes en question sont exposés dans les boutiques de Londres et de Liverpool et disponibles également sur le site internet de l’enseigne John Lewis..
Un porte-parole des magasins John Lewis a indiqué que la décision de vendre des hijabs était simplement une réponse à la demande des écoles qui décident quels vêtements composent leur uniforme.
