Vendredi soir, devant l’église Saint-Sulpice, plusieurs centaines de catholiques étaient rassemblés pour réclamer qu’on leur rende le droit d’assister à la Messe. Comme l’a signalé Civitas, les préfets ont la consigne d’interdire ces rassemblements sauf si les organisateurs s’engagent à ce qu’aucune messe ne soit célébrée ni aucune prière prononcée. Mais la foule a naturellement prié tandis qu’une chorale a chanté des cantiques.
Beaucoup de jeunes gens étaient présents, rappelant de la sorte que le combat pour la Messe n’est pas un combat d’arrière-garde.
