L’Europe en parle peu mais la plupart des Etats africains ont accepté de se soumettre aux recommandations de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé et ont également imposé le confinement à leurs populations malgré le peu de malades du coronavirus sur le continent africain. Mais les populations africaines ne croient pas à l’utilité de ce confinement et ont du mal à s’y soumettre. Beaucoup d’Etats africains ont donc choisi de donner carte blanche à la police et l’armée pour réprimer par la force ceux qui ne se confinent pas.
En Afrique du Sud, les forces de police ont tiré des grenades lacrymogènes dans les rues où marchaient trop de gens au goût des autorités.
Le pire s’est déroulé au Nigéria où les forces de sécurité ont tué 18 personnes parce qu’elles ne respectaient pas les mesures de confinement.
Les forces de sécurité nigérianes ont donc tué plus que le coronavirus lui-même, le pays ayant recensé jusqu’à présent 407 cas officiels d’infection et 12 décès déclarés.
Le confinement en Afrique se résume pour beaucoup à mourir de faim ou abattu par les forces de sécurité pour ne pas risquer d’être malade du coronavirus !
La grande majorité des Africains n’ont pas d’économies et ont besoin de sortir pour parvenir à gagner de quoi se nourrir.
