« Samouraï, l’imaginaire guerrier japonais » – Tout public
Figure emblématique de l’histoire japonaise, le samouraï fascine l’Occident du XIXe et du début du XXe siècles. L’exposition, conçue autour d’un imposant ensemble d’armures, incluant celle du musée Denon (XVIIIe siècle), accompagné d’estampes japonaises originales ou de photos provenant du musée Nicéphore Niépce, décrit la place que ce « guerrier » réinventé occupe alors dans l’imaginaire japonais et occidental.
