Le vingtième siècle a vu la montée en puissance des sciences sociales au sein de l’institution universitaire : sociologie, histoire, ethnologie, économie, démographie, psychologie aussi, dans une certaine mesure. Autant de disciplines qui exercent sur notre vision du monde une influence considérable. Or ces sciences sociales ne sont pas « neutres », et parfois plus idéologiques que proprement scientifiques. Ne se sont-elles pas développées, en effet, dans le sillage du positivisme, du marxisme et du scientisme typiques du XIXe siècle ? De manière générale, une pensée séculariste militante sous-tend la sociologie et présente une vision du monde en rupture délibérée avec le christianisme. Il faut en comprendre la logique et les conséquences.
